The Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter School (CAPCS) serves children from preschool through 8th grade on five physical campuses and one virtual campus.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Provide guidance, support, and coordination to all employees in the following functional areas: benefits, compensation, performance
    management, employee relations, recruitment and records management with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

    • Prioritize and manage multiple HR projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner

    • Conduct new hire orientation

    • Manage unemployment claims and participate in unemployment hearings
    • Create, analyze and interpret human resources, leave, financial and benefit related reports for various departments using Microsoft Office
    software and other system reporting tools.

    Conduct research, compile data, and prepare information for consideration and presentation to senior leadership team

    • Administer transfers, promotions, and terminations in the HRIS

    • Manage the substitute teacher pool and scheduling across 5 campuses for over 200 instructional staff members

    • Work with the senior leadership team and managers to develop and improve job descriptions, job content, and performance measures.


    • Source candidates. Conducts resume reviews, interview candidates, negotiate and extend offers of employment.


    • Provides support and guidance to the Human Resources Director on initiatives covering recruitment, training, retention, mentoring and
    leadership development

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    May supervise HR Assistant.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree required

    • 2-3 years similar work experience

    Licenses:

    Professional, Human Resources
