The CAPCS family is always mindful of the needs of the community and has a wonderful tradition of helping to meet those needs, particularly around the holidays. This year the families and staff of the Amos 2 campus held a food drive to help bring holiday cheer to families. Thanks to their generous contributions, 282 pounds of food were delivered to the Capital Area Food Bank, which gratefully acknowledged the donation.
The Amos 3 Middle School showed what could be done in a short amount of time when they decided to see that members of the community had enough to eat on Thanksgiving. In less than 2 weeks, middle school students and staff gathered 500 canned and packaged good items that they boxed up and delivered to SOME (So Others May Eat). Students assisted the SOME staff in stocking the shelves with the food. Click here to see them in action.
