CAPCS will be offering a free summer school program for children in grades K-8th from July 5 – 29 at the Amos 1 campus. Summer school hours are from 8 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Summer school is open to all students wishing to increase their skills in literacy, writing and math. Students who have not performed at grade level are especially urged to attend in order to be ready for the next school year.
A fee-based summer camp operated by Champions™ will be held in the afternoons for those attending the morning session. Hours are 12:30 - 6 p.m. Summer camp activities are both fun and education and include things of interest to children such as creative arts, sports, crafts, etc. The cost is $109 per week and vouchers will be accepted.
Breakfast will be served from 8 – 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. For further information or to enroll your child in summer school, contact the Academy Leader of your campus. CAPCS has partnered with the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) to offer two 1-hour tennis classes every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from July 5 – 29 at the tennis courts directly opposite Amos 1. The "Parent & Me" class will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. for parents and children enrolled in pre-school through 1st grade. Children learn agility, coordination and ball handling skills. The "Tennis All Stars" class will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. for children in 2nd through 5th grades. This class develops hand-eye coordination and balance using a variety of tennis training techniques. Classes are open to all skill levels and are free to CAPCS parents and students. JTCC will provide the coaching, rackets, balls, and other supplies.
