Dorothy I Height Community Academy Public Charter Schools

Parent Involvement

CAPCS views parents as partners in the education of their children and expects parents to play an active role in the life of the school. Each campus maintains a parent organization that develops opportunities for parents to support the school as well as offers helpful resources for parents themselves. There are currently two parent members of the Board of Trustees who can bring issues of concern to parents before the Board. We encourage all parents to join their campus parent organization, to participate in its activities, and experience how rewarding it can be to share the school experience with their children and other parents.

Butler PTO Events/Activities for 2011

It’s time to mark your calendar for the remainder of the school year. Volunteers are needed for all of the events and activities described below. One of the things that makes Butler such a well functioning campus is the active participation of our parents. We want to see that tradition continued and expanded in 2011. Please contact PTO president Shannon Settle at lightening572@msn.com if you are interested in helping out.
