| School Summary | The Wilson & Odessa Butler Campus at 5 Thomas Circle NW offers a rigorous standards-based curriculum for students in Preschool through grade 3. In
addition, students take Spanish, Art and Physical Education classes. P.E. is offered through the YMCA. Butler students participate in a variety of enrichment activities such as assemblies, clubs, and field trips to
the Smithsonian Museums located only minutes away. The Butler Campus is metro accessible. |

Letter from the Academy Leader Thank you so much for your interest in the Butler Global School campus of Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter School. We offer a comprehensive curriculum for students in pre-school through fourth grade, and we pride ourselves on providing a multicultural “Global School” experience for our students. The CAPCS motto is “Expectations of Excellence” and we work hard to show excellence in everything we do. Our number one goal is to improve student achievement across the board, while providing our students with the tools that they will need in order to be accepted into one of Washington DC’s most competitive high schools. Along with our strong focus on academics, we also believe in developing the whole child. All CAPCS schools place a heavy emphasis on the Responsive Classroom approach and Positive Behavioral Interventions in order to teach the social curriculum as well. Every morning we recite the three school rules together before school begins: 1-Always do your Best 2-Always respect yourself, others, and the environment 3-Always exhibit pride, honor, and scholarship At Butler Global School we encourage parents to get involved in their child’s education.
